About the Role

Avenue Care Services was set up to help bring a contented smile to everyone we care for, and to set the standard and enhance the values of care in our communities.

Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. As part of our friendly team you’ll assist our clients with their needs. The care we provide enables people to be able to continue to live in their own homes. You will assist our clients with all aspects of personal care, including:

  • Washing, bathing or showering
  • Assistance with dressing
  • Getting in/out of bed and general mobility
  • Continence/toileting care
  • Catheter and colostomy care
  • Personal and hygiene care including dental care and assistance with shaving
  • Optical care
  • Prompting with medication
  • Prosthesis care
  • Moving and handling using specialist equipment
  • Assistance with feeding

Previous experience in care is not necessary, as full training will be given.
You will also receive uniforms and a rucksack with all necessities for the job, as well as:

  • Quality training to develop your skills
  • Up to 28 days’ annual leave
  • We also pay for your PVG upfront and recover this cost from your first wage

Salary ranges are dependent on qualifications

  • Unqualified - £8.25 - £9.00 dependent on location
  • Qualified - £9.25 - £10 dependent on location

We currently have vacancies throughout Perthshire, Kinross, Fife, Dundee and Edinburgh.


We offer a paid 3 day induction for all staff starting with Avenue Care Services.

We will provide 2 uniforms and all equipment required to carry out the role, including:

  • Rucksack
  • Torch
  • Thermometer
  • Gloves
  • Aprons etc.

All posts are subject to satisfactory probation periods and a clear PVG. We do pay for the cost of a PVG, however we will recoup the cost of this from your first salary.

All staff are required to hold a current valid driving licence.
